Accreditation Overview (Registrar)
ICANN is a technical coordination body. Our primary objective is ensuring the stability of the Internet's system of assigned names and numbers. This objective is furthered by the requirement that every business desiring to become a registrar with direct access to ICANN-designated top-level domains must first become accredited for this purpose by ICANN.

Expedited Registry Security Request Process
The Expedited Registry Security Request (ERSR) has been developed to provide a process for gTLD registries who inform ICANN of a present or imminent security incident to their TLD and/or the DNS to request a contractual waiver for actions it might take to mitigate or eliminate the incident.
